The 1988 cartridge that made the Desert Eagle the most gloriously impractical handgun in cinema history and the dream of every teenager who ever played a video game. It is enormous and loud and completely over the top and that is entirely the point. Nobody needs it and everybody who shoots one grins like a lunatic. Pure spectacle.
Loads run 300 to 350 grain in a narrow menu. A specialty caliber priced like the indulgence it is in small boxes. Desert Eagle owners buy it deliberately and shoot it for the sheer ridiculous joy of the thing.
