The .429 DE takes the Desert Eagle platform and splits the difference between the .44 Magnum and the .440 Cor-Bon with a fat fast bullet meant to make the big pistol hit even harder than it already did. Factory offerings run heavy hunting bullets in the 210 to 240 grain range and stay expensive. Almost nobody stocks it. Desert Eagle owners chasing the round buy every box they stumble across because the next one might be a while.
