Hornady resurrected an old wildcat idea in 2012 and built a screaming little varmint round that sends a tiny bullet flat and fast with a report barely louder than a stern word. It is the thinking varmint hunter's toy and the people who shoot it get a slightly manic gleam in their eye when they talk about it. Small caliber big enthusiasm.

The load runs light 15 to 25 grain tipped bullets almost exclusively. A niche caliber priced like a boutique item in small boxes. Reloaders love it and factory shooters buy carefully when the shelf smiles on them.
